Founded by religious Jew Samuel Shmuel Bulkow Shtein (grandfather of famous fabricant family Trilling from Suprasl). He was deputy of Rabinical Commision in Petersburg. His wife Deborah Perel was active in buying books to the synagogue library. In this synagogue started their careeres famous rebbais: Josef Shalom Shachno and Abram Chaim.
