All the materials used, signed “from Wiesław Stypuła’s collection”, are the result of the author’s own archival research or are a gift to him, coming from the collections of other people, mainly pupils and guardians from the former Polish children’s settlement in Balachadi, including Franciszek Pluta, Janina Dobrostańska, Jadwiga Tarnogorska, Brother-missionary Stanisław, Stefan Bukowski and Jadwiga Piotrowska. Some photographs and documents from the same collection come from the Archives of New Records.
