Property Administration Document, Lublin – 1 week before the war
Translation: Pesach Brickman hereby authorizes Mr. Chaim Goldberg to represent me in matters concerning the administration of the property in Lublin. This relates to a Tannery business in Lublin. Chaim's wife, Perla, was from the Brickman family. Chaim was chosen to stay and "mind the store" while others fled, but Perla convinced Chaim to escape with their two children when the war broke out a few days later
