pullman_coach
Along with frieght cars, coach cars were also employed to transport Polish military prisoners. Soviet security was lax and guards were undisciplined. Lucian Aksnowicz and two other prisoners were able to jump the train. Lucian made it back to his home traveling on foot mostly by night. Pictured is a typical coach car of the time.
