Army Tent Encampment
Undated photo of 2nd Corps tent encampment. You can see how they've dug down and then piled dirt around the outside of the tents to try to insulate the tent interiors. I don't know the names of any of the men in this picture.

Photo 2nd Corps in Tank(?) – Zygmunt Kropka is the one riding inside
No date or comments on this photo. Assume it is in Italy judging by the landscape and farmhouse in the background. Don't know the names of the other men in the photo, but my father is the one inside the tank, if that is what this vehicle is called.

Photo of a Tank with Quizil-Ribat painted on its side- Loreto airfield, Italy, August 1945?
This photo is undated and has no comments. From other sources, I would guess that this was Field Marshal Alexander (Commander of Allied Armies in Italy) and General Anders saluting the 2nd Corps and others in August 15 1945 on the Loreto airfield in Italy. This photo was with my father's other military photos.

Military Photo of Zygmunt T. Kropka
Military photo of Zygmunt Kropka in uniform of the 2nd Corps 3rd division Rifle Carpathians. Note the "Christmas Tree" insignia on the left shoulder. Photo is undated but says England on the back so it must be postwar when he was part of the Polish Resettlement Corps and staying at the Stover Hostel near Newton Abbot.
