Jan Czwojdrak (4th from left). Kołtubanka, USSR. January 1942. After the "Amnesty" troops gathered at Kołtubanka camp and were transferred to the Navy and Air Force in the UK. You can see the gate and tents as well as small "eagles" on the caps, made from cans. Submitted by Karol Kubiak

Jan Czwojrak (5th from left)). Kołtubanka, USSR. January 1942. My great grandfather Jan Czwojdrak was a member of the Polish army in 1939, was moved to Syberia. After that, via Kołtubanka, Palestine and Persia he arrived in the UK in November 1942. He was a member of the Polish 300th Bomber Squadron Ziemia Mazowiecka, Technical Wing.
