						After driving from England, across Holland, Germany, Poland and into Ukraine we finally arrive in Dawidkowce. Home of my father and Grandfather and the place where my Great Grandfather settled in 1864.

						Approach to Fedzin home. These are post war (newer houses) where my Grandfather's and Uncle's houses stood before they were destroyed by fire during the war.

						Fedzin homeland. Grandfather Leon lived on the left and Uncle Adam on the right in the original houses which had stood here since mid 1800's or earlier. Cousin Bronek (on the right) lived here until deportation when he was 7 years old. This was the first time he had returned here since then.

						Me standing by the garden pond my father had told me about many times. We knew for certain we were in the right place when we found this pond during our visit in 2005.

						Natalia's cafe on the main road through Dawidkowce. This was our 'base camp' when visiting the village. We enjoyed some traditional meals here as well as a few cold beers and vodka's!

						Liquid refreshment at the cafe. From the right; me, my brother Richard, my wife Jean, Richards wife Avril and our cousin Jadwiga who lives in Poland. We met up with her (for the very first time) just outside Wroclaw on the way here.

						Chance meeting with an old man and his cow. Not a common sight here in Dewsbury! He also remembered the Fedzin family and pointed out their land below and to the right of the cow's head..

						The small river which runs through Dawidkowce and along the far end of the Fedzin land.

						Outside cafe and shop 29 June 2007. On the right can be seen a dirt track going to the left. The trees at the end of this track is where the Catholic church stood. It was destroyed during the war and the rubble taken for use on the collective farm. Nothing at all remains of the church now.
