This is the reverse side of the previous photograph of the Polish Children at Tengeru Camp in Tanganyika. The gentleman in the middle of the previous photograph is the grandfather of Terry Zajer, who was deported from Lwow to Siberia in 1940. This photograph was taken in 1943. The note is from Pan Zajer to his son, who was then in the Polish Forces in Scotland (he took part in the September 1939 campaign and was later awarded the Cross of Valour for his service in the Normandy Landings).
