- Description: Deported with parents, 3 brothers (Jurek, Leon, Mietek) and his sister Renia. Renia was left behind on the trip south, when the train left the station when she went in search of food. She was later repatriated to Zielona Gora, Poland - she then moved to Warsaw. His brothers Jurek and Leon left the camp first, to join the Army, and ended up in Scotland as part of the 1st Armoured Division. Then Tadeusz and his father also joined the Army - the 2nd Corps. His father was in the 22nd Transport Company. His mother and young brother Mietek ended up in Africa.
