Polish Navy destroyer division ORP Błyskawica, Grom and Burza en route to Great Britain on the eve of war, 31st August 1939. German plane visible in the sky? Tadeusz Lesisz was a Polish Navy cadet in 1939, escaping to the UK on ORP Burza. During the war he also served on MGB S3 and ORP Błyskawica and cruiser Dragon, retiring a full commander.
