Other Wartime Circumstances , , , , ,Mietek sadly suffered from PTSD after the war. He had had a traumatic life, losing his mother at an early age and then war breaking out, being arrested and sent to Siberia for hard labour and then fighting in the war. After the war he would not talk of his experiences and the family know very little about what he went through. It is only through research that we know as much as we do. |
