Other Information: Her brother Tadeusz died on the train before they got to Moscow, Wojciech died after they had passed Moscow, her mother Maria died as the children were getting on the ship that was to take them cross the Caspian Sea to Pahlevi (Persia). Her younger brother Czeslaw disappeared in Teheran - he went into hospital and she never saw him again. Genowefa and Maria were left alone.

Please provide information if none of the preceding apply: In Teheran (4-5 hours from Pahlevi), she and her sister were in a camp that was situated at the city walls, and they slept out in the open, under the city walls, because there was no room anywhere else. They slept on blankets, staying like that for four months.They were then was placed in an orphanage in Isfahan for a year and a half, before moving to an orphanage in Oudtshoorn in 1944. Then they moved to another orphanage in Digglefold, Southern Rhodesia. She raised her family in Digglefold, until leaving for the US in 1965.
