Brothers Jan and Antoni joined Anders Army after "amnesty" and thus rescued their sister Halina and their mother. Halina and her mother were separated from all of them, but managed to briefly see the brothers in Teheran, and then found her father in a Teheran hospital. Halina and her parents ended up in England, but her father died there, in a PRC camp, never having seen his sons again (from the time that they were taken from Wilno in June 1941.)
